Techniques to create queries for ontologies

Tiberiu Socaciu, Eugenia Iancu

Abstract

This paper presents an ontology-based approach and how it can be manipulated data in ontology. This
approach helps in directing attention to features and tools oriented approach to an approach oriented semantics.
The advantage of using an ontology-based system enables the identification of new relationships between
concepts, by inference, based on existing knowledge. The user can choose to query instances of a type of concept,
based on relationships that are displayed. Starting from the basic concepts, the user can get specific information
about any other court or concept. The paper also presents some usage scenarios, conclusions and further
developments.
